When It All Ties Together, You Won’t Know Our Country

July 21, 2010

Why is it that Congress and the Senate still are cowering in fear of the Executive Branch, as they did under Bush. Why is a Democratic majority legislator, not undoing what happen under the Bush administration? Better yet, why did they let it happen? Why did the so called Fourth Estate (Media) of the government not report on these things? It all ties together in the over all plan. The power to be gained is beyond belief.

Directive 51

During the primaries Obama said, he would dismantle any of the Presidential Orders and Directives that were put in place by the Bush Administration that he felt limited the peoples rights. Obama did not stick to his word. Obama letting Directive 51 stand. “51” is the most unconstitutional of all the Orders and Directives form Bush.

In short, P.D.51 puts the Executive Branch above all the branches, most of all the Supreme Court. This will happen in the case of a National Emergency, as stated by the President, and only to be repealed by the President.

The U.S. Patriot Act

The granddaddy of anything that came out of the last three administrations is “The US PATRIOT ACT”. The name is an acronym for;

Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism Act

The Patriot Act was written before the attack on 9-11-2001, The chief architect was a Vietnamese refugee who served under the George W. Bush administration as Assistant Attorney General of the United States (2001-2003). To be fair, Mr. Dinh is a lawyer, and teaches law.

Viet D. Dinh (Vietnamese: Đinh Đồng Phụng Việt; born February 22, 1968) is a lawyer who served as the Assistant Attorney General of the United States from 2001 to 2003, under the presidency of George W. Bush. Born in Saigon, South Vietnam, he was the chief architect of the USA PATRIOT Act.

The origin of the U.S. Patriot Act, is derived of many other bills and laws that were passed and some that weren’t, from past administrations.

The Justice Department finally drafted a bill called the Anti-Terrorism Act of 2001. This was introduced to the House as the Provide Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism (PATRIOT) Act of 2001, and was later passed by the House as the Uniting and Strengthening America (USA) Act (H.R. 2975) on October 12.[2] It was then introduced into the Senate as the USA Act of 2001 (S. 1510) [3] where a number of amendments were proposed by Senator Russ Feingold,[4][5][6][7] all of which were passed.

The final bill, the USA PATRIOT Act was introduced into the House on October 23 and incorporated H.R. 2975, S. 1510 and many of the provisions of H.R. 3004 (the Financial Anti-Terrorism Act).[8] It was vehemently opposed by only one Senator, Russ Feingold, though Senator Patrick Leahy also expressed some concerns.[9] However, not all parts of the Act are seen in this light, with many parts being seen as necessary by both detractors and supporters.[10][11][12] The final Act included a number of sunsets which were to expire on December 31, 2005.

As we know, they did not all Sunset. In fact, Barrack Obama allowed The US Patriot Act to become permanent this year. Although it was setup that it did not matter if it became permanent, because under the Bush Admin laws were passed to protect the act incase it was allowed to sunset.

HR1959, The Endgame isn‘t a Videogame

This law started out as S 1959, Endgame. I wrote two blog entries on the “Endgame” and the dangers if it was passed months ago. The only way you would have known about this Bill was if you read bloggers that were following S 1959. The reason was a total media black out on this Bill. However, when the name was changed in the House it did receive a bit of coverage.(Very little bit.) The name is ‘Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007’.

Obama did not see fit to repeal the law known as the “Thought Police Bill”, ‘Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007’. The bill allows someone to be picked up and held for what they might be thinking. The bill was pushed as the bill that will protect your children, and help stop child pornography. Some of the term used in the bill are defined in a vague way. Although, most of the terminology in bills passed are vague in definitions, especially bills that call themselves protection from terrorist. The vague use of the terminology below should shake this country to it very core.

VIOLENT RADICALIZATION- The term `violent radicalization’ means the process of adopting or promoting an extremist belief system for the purpose of facilitating ideologically based violence to advance political, religious, or social change.

HOMEGROWN TERRORISM- The term `homegrown terrorism’ means the use, planned use, or threatened use, of force or violence by a group or individual born, raised, or based and operating primarily within the United States or any possession of the United States to intimidate or coerce the United States government, the civilian population of the United States, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives.

IDEOLOGICALLY BASED VIOLENCE- The term `ideologically based violence’ means the use, planned use, or threatened use of force or violence by a group or individual to promote the group or individual’s political, religious, or social beliefs.

There are many other Laws, Presidential Orders and Directives that should have been repealed, if Barrack Obama really wanted to work for the people. Instead his actions lean towards the removal of the rights of the people. In my opinion Obama’s actions show that he is following in the footsteps of the past two administrations. Larger government, less rights for the people.

Ps. The Bill passed with 404 votes. Also this was a bill that was a rush through vote. Also this was missed by Ron Paul. My state Pennsylvania voted yes across the board Except John Peterson republican;

It saddens me to see, my fellow Americans can’t see the trees for the forest. They don’t see with all the Presidential Orders, Directives, and laws in place, the Executive Branch is in more control than ever. Or maybe they don’t care.
