Soldier Busted for Child Pornography In Afghanistan. (WTF)

January 16, 2010

The military is showing its appreciation for “Specialist Billy Miller’s” service to his country by, busting him for child pornography. The assertion is over e-mail photos of his four year old relative, taken at her birthday party.

Specialist Millers mother had sent him photographs of his four year old relative taken at the child’s birthday party. Mixed in with the random group of pictures that his mother had sent him were a few of her at her party in a bathing suit. His mother had sent him these photos, hoping to help him get over his home sickness.

The U.S. Army has charged Spec. Billy Miller of Galesburg, Ill., with possession of child pornography and a related charge of failure to obey an order that troops in Afghanistan not possess pornography.
Army spokesman Lt. Mary J. Pekas declined to discuss details of the case or evidence against Miller. She said the charge is punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

In August Millers unit returned to Illinois, leaving Miller behind. Specialist Miller has been assigned to active duty with the Headquarters and Headquarters Co., 82nd Airborne Division in Afghanistan.

Miller’s father, Rodney, said the Army won’t discuss the case with the family. But he said his son has told him the charges stem from a handful of photos of the girl that the soldier’s mother e-mailed to ease his homesickness.

“I can’t believe that the Army’s doing this to our son; it’s unbelievable,” Rodney Miller said from his home in Galesburg, about 55 miles south of Davenport, Iowa. “The Army and the government’s telling us more or less that it’s none of our business.”

The pictures show the girl in a swimsuit playing in a pool and sitting on Billy Miler’s pickup truck, according to the family. A small portion of one of the girl’s buttocks is visible in one, Rodney Miller said.

The photo that is thought to be the photo in question, can be found at this site. Source I won‘t put it here because of H.R. 1955. It is explained below.

The Millers say their son became close to the little girl after she was diagnosed with a serious illness while her own father was away for military training. The pictures were taken by Terri Miller and the girl’s mother at the girl’s birthday party last summer, Rodney Miller said.

As bad as I feel for Mr. Miller, I feel as bad if not worse for (in this order) the little girl, her family, the family of Spec. Miller, and the U. S. citizens. You may wonder why I feel for the citizenry of the U. S., and the answer is really pretty simple. “The Home Grown Terrorist Act.” I wrote on this bill back in November 2007, “Thought Crimes, No It Isn’t 1984… Under the law, authorities can arrest you on what they thing you were thinking. As I have pointed out, the definitions in this and many bills that are being passed, are wide-open and very vague. One of the examples that was used was, “If you are sitting in a Coffee Shop and you would send a photo like the one that Spec. Miller’s mother did and it is intercepted, you too could be busted on the same charge.

The shame of it is, these things could be prevented if instead of the people allowing the Government to control more of our lives, (under the pretense of Safety, and security) they should be telling them to back the hell off. It is our own fault, we have become so complacent, things are being passed left and right and nothing is being said until it is way too late.

I am thinking of laying this blog to rest. In the ten years I have been doing this, I have seen the brain washing of both sides. However, this time it was allowed to go Worldwide, and it seems that the N.W.O. , or (The New World Economy) if you wish, has pulled this one and the world citizenry is standing with their hands out. Bearing that in mind with the Net Neutrality bill it will soon become useless to speak out against this or any other administration. Yes Obama will take care of you,… but watch what you wish for. You just might get it!

Ps. For anyone thinking of joining the military, remember that once you sign on the dotted line, you are no longer under U.S. law you are under military law. You have no rights!

Oh, and your blog has a typo:

“Under the law, authorities can arrest you on what they thing you were thinking. “

15 years from now, they’ll all be laughing and telling “pornstar” jokes about this little incident.

As a general rule, I’m inclined to give the accused the benefit of the doubt and I’m hardly an apologist for the US military, but your blog only tells one side of the story. I’m sure lots of soldiers gets lots of emails with lots of picture of lots of children in varying stages of undress (because children can’t keep their clothes on and obnoxious adults thinks its adorable to photograph for teenage blackmail). Why single out this guy? What if the Army caught him masturbating to the picture of the little girl in the swimsuit? Of course the Army is going to protect the confidentiality of the soldier in question and will not comment on an on-going investigation.

Ergo, the only side of the story is the one we hear stateside from Mom who will never believe her little angel (who kills people for a living) would actually be a pedophile.
