Who Really was the Aggressor, Russia or Georgia?

As the fighting escalates in Georgia, Russia has begun a second front in the conflict. According to reports coming out of the Georgia, it is now a full-fledged war. I always felt, that happen when 1400 civilians were killed. But what do I know?

When this started on Friday the press slowly started to spin the facts of the conflict. What was being done in my opinion is they are playing on what was planted in my generation’s subconscious; The Russians are bad no matter what. Although Russia should be watch, it seems they are not the aggressor this time, even though the MSM and both parties would have you believe they were.

It seems Obama has only played it safe and repeated the DNC talking points on this. At least McCain has changed the words a bit, but follows the same line.

The Main Stream Media has thrown headlines and stories out there that are worded to make the reader think that Russia is the aggressor. Some of the headlines are, “Russia Invades Georgia,” “Russia Attacks Georgia,”.

What is happening here is, Russia sending a message to the Bush administration, “Stay out of our back yard.” Playing the role of the U.S., Georgia. The problem is that it is possibly a real oil war, and you have to ask yourself, “Did Bush Jr. tell Georgia go ahead, we have your back. Oops, no we don’t.”

Ps. I wrote this 2 days ago, when the fighting was upped a notch by the Russians. Since then a cease fire was issued, and broken by the Russians witch leads me to believe that Russia is using this to teach George W. Bush a lesson. Also, Condi Rice is in Georgia to try and talk the President of Georgia and Russia to work a Ceasefire that would allow Russia to leave troops in Georgia as Peace-Keepers. Personally I don’t see this happening.

So no matter whom you see as the aggressor is this, Russia clearly has the upper hand and is using it as a way of showing the world; we are back.
