The Fear that Might Just Come True, Bush and Cheney will Just Leave Office
There are a many people, who fear George W. Bush will hold on to power after his term limit is up. Which is a fear that is very troubling; however, there is another fear that might not scare you as much, but should.
What if Bush walks out of the White House and gets on the plane and heads off into the Armageddon sunset they are praying for? There are many people that feel that this administration has only under a year to do anything, and others say he is a lame duck, but nothing could be further from the truth. However, that is another story.
It will be an injustice if they are to escape without prosecution for the crimes they have committed. Friday night on “Real Time” with Bill Maher, Catherine Crier said that there is enough on the Bush administration to warrant Impeachment. (Crier served as a Texas State District Judge for the 162nd District Court in Dallas County.)
Dennis Kucinich has drawn up Articles of Impeachment against V.P. Dick Cheney, for offenses against the American People. Kucinich says that three of the charges come from House Resolution 333.
The Ohio Congressman, who is running for president for the second time, noted three charges in his Articles of Impeachment, which were submitted as House Resolution 333. The first concerned manipulation of intelligence about Iraq’s threat to the US. The second concerned manipulation of intelligence on the Iraq-Al-Qaida relationship. The last concerned what he called having “openly threatened aggression against the Republic of Iran.”
We all have seen or heard of what the Bush administration has done before and while in power. they have committed crimes even though some deny they have taken place. The question that is always ask is, “If they have done such terrible things, why don’t the democrats do something about it?” Actually, that is a good question, and This is the very reason I feel, this administration is going to get away with their crimes and will high tail it out of Dodge. This is looking like the start of a pattern? One where one administration sets up the way for the next, by placing more and more powers for the executive branch. A pattern where the party doesn’t matter, only the planed final outcome
There are some people that are so sure that a democratic administration will set things right in the country, and things will be restored to Pre-Bush. However, do they really think the next administration will relinquish the power set up by the administration? Will the party that helped vote in the Patriot Act, and give Bush the power to go to war with Iraq, vote to take that power away from their candidate in the White House? I personally don’t think. What do you think?
