Insiders say Cheney has Iran in His Sights

October 23, 2007

It seems that according to White House insiders some time next year Dick Cheney is going to start WWIII, against Iran.

Rolling Stone

“It’s an open secret,” one leading analyst of Iranian relations tells Rolling Stone. Even though America remains bogged down in twin conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan, the insiders add, Cheney still has the clout to get President Bush to give the order — despite strong opposition from the State Department and the Pentagon, both of which believe that attacking Iran could have catastrophic consequences for the United States.

This is not the first time we have heard the cry of war from Dick Cheney. While on the US Aircraft Carrier, John C. Stennis in the Persian Gulf, while giving a low key speech he drove the point home that there was enough firepower to do exactly that.

“With two carrier strike groups in the Gulf, we’re sending clear messages to friends and adversaries alike,” Cheney declared. “We’ll keep the sea lanes open. We’ll stand with others to prevent Iran from gaining nuclear weapons and dominating this region.”

George W. Bush on the other hand, while giving a press conference last week, was a little more straight forward with his message to all other countries, and repeated it once again in a message to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

U.S. President George W. Bush urged Vladimir Putin on Monday to help keep the pressure on Iran after the Russian leader voiced skepticism about Tehran’s nuclear ambitions.

Bush’s telephone call to Putin, who has resisted a U.S.-led push to toughen U.N. sanctions against Iran, followed the Russian president’s visit to Tehran and Bush’s controversial remark that a nuclear-armed Iran could lead to World War Three.

Bush told a news conference last week, “I’ve told people that, if you’re interested in avoiding World War Three, it seems like you ought to be interested in preventing them (Iran) from having the knowledge necessary to make a nuclear weapon.”

From what we are hearing from the language being tossed around, Iran is definitely in the crosshairs of this administration. Although it does seem that Cheney will be call the time that the orders are given. Also watch a few things that should happen.

A. If the dollar drops too much more.
B. The price of uranium.
C. The Markets take a steep decline.

I feel that these will be just a few of the indicators that it is time for the strike on Iran, by this administration.

In last weeks Press Conference a reporter made a slip of sorts when he ask Bush a question about a statement John McCain had made.

White house

Q And he would never have invited him to Kennebunkport. And he said it’s time we got a little tough with Vladimir Putin. I’m wondering if you think — is Senator McCain right? And what would it mean for Russian democracy if, when you leave power, assuming you do, in January 2009 — (laughter) — if Vladimir Putin is still in power?

Was this a little joke, or have these reporters got the same feelings that a lot of us do? That with the Executive Orders and Presidential Directives that have been signed and updated, that there is a strong chance that this administration will strike Iran, and attempt to hold power. Lets be real the power has been put in play for this to happen. Even constitutional scholars have stated, this is the most powerful executive branch in history. And it is due to the acts that Dick Cheney carried out to get them there.

I think if the administration is entertaining these thoughts then they have good reason. If we aren’t careful we could end up completely marginalized on the world scene. We do need to make sure we have the bodies though to complete this mission. A draft is inevitable, I for one think it is long overdue. And if you don’t want to fight for your country, then move and don’t come back after the smoke clears. The reason all of these guys are getting so bold with us is because we are spread thin. Sometimes you gotta blacken a few eyes to regain respect.
