Here is a Short Reminder of What You Got When You Voted (D) Last November.

August 7, 2007

Last November a great deal of us pushed that button for the Democratic candidates, because they promised that they would end the war and bring the troops home. We were also promised; that they would straighten out the mess the Republican run 109th congress had put in place.

So here is what we got. They have not brought the troops home from Iraq. Instead these S.O.B.s have used the troops that are in harms way to play politic with the White House. Trying to save themselves for the run at the White House in 2008, they are leaving the troops (literally) with their asses hanging in the wind. I personally feel that they should be removed for that.

They have so far left untouched, Presidential Orders and Directives that hand over all power to the Executive branch when that branch decides to declare a national disaster, or emergency. They have also not challenged the Presidential Order which makes anyone that the administration deems an enemy combatant that speaks out, protest against, or writes in a negative manor on the Iraq War. Thus allowing the government to seize all assets, and possessions of that person, or group. And the same for anyone that try’s to help that person, with medical, housing or, nourishment.

But, this week saw the most heinous of acts on there part. By going along with the Bush Warentless Wiretap Bill, they have finally destroyed the Bill of Rights. Well that is not entirely true, there still is the 3rd amendment, but not for long.

I guess we put them there, on the assumption that they would actually look out for us and do as they promised. But I guess it goes back to that old saying my coach always told us about the enemy, “Never Assume because it makes an Ass out of U and Me”.

you have no idea how refreshing it is to see someone writing intelligently about the flaws in their own party.
