Oh My God, Arianna Hit the Nail Right on Reid’s Head.

December 19, 2006

In her post on The Huffington Post Arianna saw the same thing I saw yesterday on “This Week” with George Stephanopoulos. Read on.>>>

In the first segment George interviewed Senator Harry Reid, The Senator said he is willing to go along with George W. Bush and send more troops into Iraq if it is a temporary move. (George Bush is planning to send at least 20 thousand more U.S. troop to the slaughter.) Stephanopoulos ask, how would we know if was temporary or not. Reid dodged the question altogether.

Arianna should have pointed out in her blog, that not only what we hear from Reid, coupled with everything the Democrats have said so far, it will make no difference who holds the power on the Hill.

I did not vote straight Democrat this time, to have them kowtowing to King Georges wish’s. When you look at the big picture, we do not have the manpower to send 20 thousand more over to Iraq. They say that they are fighting to keep our country safe from terrorism, yet they are sending out protection over to the Middle East. I often wonder if Ole’ G.W. is looking for a reason to unleash our nuclear power on the world. I get the strange feeling he feels that as long as we have our weapons stockpile, he does not need troop on the ground here.

She makes a great closing point when she says,

As the old saying goes, there is nothing so permanent as a temporary solution. Except President Bush’s incompetence, willful denial of reality and refusal to listen to the will of the American people. We don’t need a surge of those any more than we need a surge of troops in Iraq.
Here’s hoping Senator Reid comes to his senses.

If he does not wake up, then what do we do? Whom do we turn to? Is the answer to return to the Neo-Cons, the very people that put us in this hellhole? I would think not. I only pray that the preview we are seeing from the left is to be left on the cutting room floor and that the directors cut will be truer to why they were voted in.
